To give you a more definite answer, one of our registered nurses can perform a lab-certified pregnancy test at our clinic for no cost to you. They can detect the hCG pregnancy hormone as early as 7 days after conception (or 21 to 24 days after the first day of your last period.) The test is over 99% accurate. The results of the test will be available during your appointment. With the results of your test, positive or negative, our nurse can additionally provide you with information about next steps. As you are processing all of the information in front of you, you can also meet one-on-one with a peer counselor at Lifeline who will listen as you sort through your feelings and help you navigate the choices ahead. The decision of how to handle your pregnancy is up to you. We provide understanding and support to assist you to be able to make an informed decision with confidence.
