For many women, finding out they are pregnant at an inconvenient time creates worry, stress, and anxiety. The unknown can be scary. But know that you are not alone. Our team of professionals is here to help. Our goal is for you to walk out of our clinic feeling more encouraged and empowered than you did coming in.
Feeling like no one understands your situation right now?
Afraid to talk with someone in your life about what is happening?
We listen without judgment. You can meet one-on-one with a registered nurse who will listen to your feelings about pregnancy and abortion, help you process information, and talk through all your options with you. The decision of how to handle your pregnancy is up to you. We are not here to tell you what to do, but rather to be a sounding board and give you space to decide what to do next. We provide understanding and support to assist you to be able to make an informed choice from a place of confidence, not panic.
Facing an unexpected pregnancy is not easy. If you are feeling pressured by someone to get an abortion, remember this is a big decision. Don’t let anyone rush you. Give yourself the time to make an informed decision that you can feel confident about. This process can feel really overwhelming, but it is helpful to take things one step at a time.
Your first step is to confirm pregnancy. At Lifeline, we offer no-cost, lab-certified pregnancy tests that provide immediate results that are over 99.9% accurate. We can also offer limited obstetrical ultrasounds to confirm a viable intrauterine pregnancy at no cost to you. This will give you more accurate information as you consider your options. Regardless of what you choose to do with your pregnancy, the ultrasound will help confirm that the pregnancy is located where it should be. This is important since an ectopic pregnancy can be life-threatening and usually requires immediate medical attention.
As with all pregnancy-related medical needs, it’s important to talk to your doctor before making a decision. If you do not have a doctor, Lifeline can provide you with a referral for a doctor or for insurance. Although Lifeline does not perform or refer for abortions, we are here to listen and help you talk through all your options. We are dedicated to providing you with the support you need to make your own decisions.
Our services are provided to all clients at no cost without regard to age, race, income, nationality, religious affiliation, disability, or other circumstances. In keeping with our non-profit, pro-woman mission, Lifeline does not provide or refer for abortion services.
